仕事には関係ないのですが・・プライベートのバイク旅行で北海道に向かう途中、岩手の山奥に８８歳のお婆さんが一人でやっているお風呂があるという情報を見つけたので行ってきました。
On my motorcycle trip to Hokkaido, I stumbled upon something extraordinary—a hidden onsen deep in Iwate’s mountains, tended solely by an 88-year-old woman.
先祖代々、180年もの間、飛龍山の不思議な湧き水から沸かしたお風呂を守り続けているそうです。
お婆さんで７代目とのこと。８代目は？と聞くと「誰もやらねえんじゃねえか？」とのこと。
Her family has guarded this mystical “Flying Dragon Mountain: Hiryu-san” hot spring for 180 years (she’s the 7th generation). When asked about the 8th successor, she chuckled: “Doubt anyone’ll take over!”
驚くほどの働き者です。４日か５日に一人しかこないお客さんのために、毎日お風呂を沸かし続けているそうです。
Despite getting only 4-5 customers weekly, she heats the baths daily—a testament to her incredible dedication.
とても良いお風呂でした！来たかいがありました。

お風呂から出ると、たまたま取材に来てたナニコレ珍百景の方に取材をお願いされたので了承しました。
2、30分いろいろとインタビューを受けたけど使われたのはほんの一瞬でちょっと悲しかったです。笑

As I left, a Nani Kore Chin Hyakkei TV crew randomly arrived and interviewed me for 30 minutes… only to air 2 seconds of footage. A hilarious (if bittersweet) coda to this surreal adventure!
